I spoke to my main Yankee source in Tampa that let me know there is interest in Rays free agent reliever Grant Balfour . The one setback with Balfour is he is a Type A free agent and would cost the Yankees a draft pick. Of course, if the Yanks sign Cliff Lee they will lose their first round pick anyway. Balfour has until midnight Tuesday to accept Tampa’s offer of arbitration.
