Texas Ex-Con Greg Lott Claims He Was the Love of Farrah Fawcett's Life

Greg Lott, a Texas counselor and college football player, says he was the love of Farrah Fawcett's life, and that he was wrongly prevented from seeing Farrah in the last days of her death.

Lott and Fawcett met when the two attended the University of Texas, where he played football and Fawcett was a sister in the Delta Delta Delta sorority. Lott has complained that Farrah's ex, Ryan O'Neal, kept him from seeing Farrah, though O'Neal has disputed this.

For his part, Ryan and Farrah's son Redmond, seems to have confirmed at least parts of Lott's story. "‘I have to thank Greg Lott for one thing: For loving Farrah the way she deserved to be loved. Ryan was just there for the acclaim," Redmond O'Neal told the Daily Mail.

Lott says that he and Farrah's lives became entertwined on several occasions, but the two were pulled apart even more often. In the 1970s and '80s, Lott served two separate prison sentences for drug trafficking. Despite the separation, Lott says the two had a close bond and that Ryan O'Neal and friend Alana Stewart have been leveraging her death into fame and fortune.

The truth, he says, is that for the last 11 years of her life, Farrah was involved in a very private romance with him. ‘We were blind, crazy, in love,’ he says. ‘Farrah was my best friend and my inspiration.

'We fell in love with each other all those years ago and we never really stopped loving each other. Our lives took us in very different directions but, in the end, her heart always came home to me and Texas.’
