Guild wars is an MMORPG (Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Game) that is played world wide. Currently there are are three games which comprise it, these being, Guild Wars Prophesies (the original game), Guild Wars Factions (The First Expansion), and Guild Wars Night Fall (The Most Recent Expansion). Much like in many other MMORPG's, you select what type of character you would like to be, you can choose any of the following character classes: Warrior, Elementalist, Monk, Dervish, Ranger, Mesmer, Necromancer, Paragon, Ritualist, or Assassin. There is a story mode to the game and a PvP mode to the game, and to get a full feel for the game, partaking in both modes are suggested.
Guild Wars 2 won't be out for a while yet, but anxious fans may still be able to try it out next year. Eurogamer (via VE3D) is reporting that NCSoft isn't expecting any major launches in 2010, but that fans can expect at least two big games the year after.
