SECONDHAND LIONS

I met a very nice woman in Wal-Mart the other day as we stood over the huge bin of movies on sale for $5. She was asking me if I knew about some of the movies and I was a good person to ask because I have over 550 movies in my collection. BUT she had seen a couple I had not seen yet. One of those was Secondhand Lions. I LOVE this movie!

The movie stars Michael Caine and Robert Duvall who play two brothers who disappeared for 40 years and supposedly return to their country home worth millions. Haley Joel Osment plays a boy who is dropped of with them for the summer by a mother who want the boy to find out where they are hiding their money. It's funny as heck, warm and touching with a touch of fantasy and adventure.

Robert Duvall plays a character that reminded me very much of my dad - the very macho, strong, take no shit, wise as all get-up, sees sickness as a weakness type of man.

To the woman I met in Wal-Mart, thank you very much for recommending this movie!
