I spent about 4 hours my Xbox 360 last night going through the Halo 3 campaign. I started the campaign on the Heroic difficulty setting. I played 2 hours of the campaign solo and the other 2 hours playing the campaign using the online cooperative feature of Halo 3. Through my first short period with the game, I have to say that Heroic difficulty provides plenty of challenge. Bungie has announced that they are currently at work on 3 new multiplayer maps. The first map, Jodrell Bank, was described as being made for free-for-all slayer. The second map, Moonbase Alpha, is a map made for team-based games. The third map was not named, but was described as "the scariest map of all time." The people over at Ars Technica have reported that Bungie has almost finished it's 'banhammer' to ban accounts that are deemed as cheating. Apparently most of the cheating has been occurring via DDoS'ers and such. Usually this results in unplayable lag for everyone but the cheater.
