Zimbio Interview: Exclusive with Hannah Cornett

Hannah Cornett seems like a perfect candidate to become one of those women who get really famous but somehow manage to stay down-to-earth. We suppose only time will tell for the pro-triathelete /  surfer turned Hollywood spotlight darling. Keep an eye on this one, folks. 

How long do you plan to continue competing in triathlons?
As long as I can walk. I'm kind of addicted.

What's one thing you can't do without?
My favorite pillow. I love to sleep.

What has been your most frivolous purchase ever?
A new car. I've had my heart set on a specific sports car ever since I was a kid, so my first check I totally splurged and went for a new beamer.

What's your nickname?
"Bear." It's funny I actually crawled into a friend's lap one time and fell asleep, and he was like, "Bear!" and it stuck from then on.

When did you know that you were special, that you could really excel at being an athlete?
I've always exceled as an athlete, but it probably didn't hit until probably 21 when I really hit it big with the off-road triathlons.

How do you answer the question: "So, what do you do?"
I'm a pro-athlete, actress, model, executive producer. It's a combo thing. I always aim to do everything, anything less is just settling for what you don't have in life.

For which would you rather be famous: Giving birth to octuplets or famous for doing nothing like Paris Hilton?
Probably giving birth to octuplets. I've never been a fan of Paris Hilton, she represents everything I put forth for young woman not to be. They need to work hard to achieve fame, no sex tape or any amount of money will ever make you happy or the people around you impressed. And life is never easy, if you want real results, you have to be willing to work for them.

Famous for being a pro-surfer or famous for being a great actress?
Hmm tough one, I'd love to be known for both, but I've got a long way to go.

If you were interviewing you, what would you ask you?
"Why do you do the things you do? What makes you tick? And how did you achieve so many things in so little time? What's your drive? Who has been your greatest influence?"

Who's the most famous person to asked you out? And: Don't lie. Unless no famous people have asked you out, in which case make someone up.

On that note, what's the worst pick-up line you've ever heard?
"Can I see the tag on your shirt, because I swear, you're made by an angel."

What are some of your pet peeves?
Slow drivers, driving slow. I'm a speed demon. Let me put it to you this way: I have a small stipend set aside for my "bad driving" habits.

How do you know when you've gone too far?
I think I've always based that on physical pain whereas now I know that it is more a mental thing. Part of growing up I think. Learning that there may be a breaking point physically that can be conquered mentally.

Final thoughts?
