Birmingham and Finland striker Mikael Forssell is to finally join German club Hannover on a free transfer. German-born Forssell, 27, was a crowd favourite at St. Andrews but a hellish three years of injury saw him fall out of favour with former boss Steve Bruce and, latterly, Alex McLeish. Forssell was set to join the German side earlier in the season but a failed medical saw them pull out of the deal.
