INDIANA JONES star Harrison Ford says ideas are now being developed for a fifth film in the blockbuster adventure movie franchise.
Will we now see 66-year-old Ford scaling Mayan pyramids with a Stannah stairlift or trundling after deadly Nazis and Russians in one of those little motorised cars for grannies? I'm only joking of course, but since everyone else is being ageist about Indiana turning into a relic himself, I thought I'd join in for a moment. My apologies to Harrison Ford... Read Full Story

I love all the Indiana Jones movies growing up and with the new one out this year, a whole new generation of children have found the movie. Uncle Milton has a great line of toys based on the Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull movie. Boys, especially would have fun with these cool toys! They encourage exploration of Science and Adventure. We really enjoyed the Remote Control Ant , he’s creepy, and my teenager enjoyed chasing the younger one with it! These would make great presents... Read Full Story
While I doubt you could ever call me one of the world's biggest Indiana Jones fans, I have always had a pretty good appreciation for the original trilogy. You have to admit, the Indy movies hearken back to a simpler style of movie making that was less about special effects and more about intricate plots, witty dialog and really fun action sequences. When they announced that a fourth movie was in the works so many years at the original trilogy had ended, I have to admit that I was rather... Read Full Story
As we all know (and if you don't where have you been?) , Indiana Jones is back -- albeit a bit more grey and a bit rusty around the edges but with hat and jacket intact!
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull hit theaters at 12:01 AM today and I am sure there were lots of people in line to see it.
If you have the ability to order tickets online, I would suggest you do so -- because that insures that you would get into the theater at the correct time!

The Review
It’s been almost 20 years since we last saw Harrison Ford donning the trademark khaki pants, tan shirt, leather whip, and Fedora that comprises the costume of Indiana Jones. We last saw Indy in the year 1938 as he and his father were fleeing from the Nazis on the hunt for the Holy Grail. It’s now 19 years later (in both the movie and reality) and the world is in the midst of the Red Scare, and the Nazis have been replaced by the Communists (Soviets) as the villain... Read Full Story
Big Picture reader Brad West hipped me to this video mashing up old Star Wars footage of
Harrison Ford with the theme song from Magnum, P.I. . The result, of course, is Han Solo, P.I. .
While I was watching it, I grew nostalgic for a great many things. I miss the days when Harrison Ford movies were worth paying to see. I miss Magnum, P.I. , and I really miss the golden age of the TV theme song. Mike Post was the man.
This video takes on a little subtext, too, since Tom Selleck was the... Read Full Story
I thought it was great. I disagree with whatever MSN or AOL review I saw today that described it as workable, but nothing terrific. I enjoyed Rocky Balboa last year (or was it 2 years ago). That film was better than Rocky 5, possibly 4. I feel a little like I’m stuck in the 80’s again.
There were inside jokes in Indiana Jones for longtime fans, and plenty of fast paced action suited to modern younger audiences as well. Remember in Last Crusade when they’re under the streets and Indy... Read Full Story
