Chia Seeds Give us a Rich Source of Omega-3
Chia seeds are whole grains loaded with nutrients, and provide us with a rich source of Omega-3 fatty acids.
“They have among the highest antioxidant activity of any whole food, outdistancing even fresh blueberries,” say doctors Michael Roizen and Mehmet Oz.
Omega-3 rich chia seeds also offer the ability to moderate blood sugar spikes. The suggested dosage: two daily doses of about 20 grams of seeds each.
Nutritionists suggest that we use chia seeds like flax seeds, mixing them with oatmeal or adding to baked goods and smoothies.
