Heidi Klum (Pacific Coast News) The big celebrity rumor of the weekend turned out to be true: Heidi Klum and Seal are definitely separating. The couple confirmed their split in a statement to People.com Saturday night.

"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate," they said in the written statement.

"We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy."

TMZ first reported the couple was headed for divorce Saturday, when sources with "direct knowledge" revealed the supermodel mom of 4 would file paperwork to end their marriage as early as next week. The couple have been married since 2005 and even renew their vows each May in a lavish ceremony. They have four children together, three biological and Seal adopted Heidi's daughter from a previous relationship in 2009. No word yet on when they'll actually file for divorce.
