'Washington Post' Editor Henry Allen Allegedly Clocks One of His Writers

had a disagreement over a story. According to Washington D.C. site Washingtonian , Allen was displeased with an article turned in by Monica Hesse and Manuel Roig-Franzia. Allen allegedly told the two writers, "This is total crap. It’s the second worst story I have seen in Style in 43 years.”
Roig-Franzia then reportedly told Allen, “Oh, Henry, don’t be such a cocks---er.” The septagenartian Allen then, according to Washingtonian, "lunged at Roig-Franzia, threw him to the newsroom floor, and started throwing punches."
According to the website, Allen's contract at the Post is due up later this month. This incident will likely serve as the nail in his coffin.
