House Passes $700 Billion Bailout Bill - Stock Market Plummets

U.S. - Just as the House passed a revised version $700 Billion bailout bill 263 to 171 on Friday, the stock market dropped sharply.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke said the central bank will keep using “all of the powers at our disposal” to ease the credit crisis after Congress approved a $700 billion rescue of the financial industry.
