Fred Fox Jr. recently wrote a piece for the LA Times about the now infamous 'Jump the Shark' episode of Happy Days.  The term has now taken on new meaning in pop culture, as a reference to the moment when your favorite TV show takes a downward turn in plot and becomes lame.
