Introducing Code Pink

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, I wanted to introduce you to a pink subversive underground women's political action group I've been following for a while: CODE PINK. I found out about CODE PINK a couple of year's ago when I spoke to an amazing older women in the grocery store who was wearing a phabulous pink couture suit, and wearing several "Code Pink for Peace" buttons. I believe she lived in Redding, but had just returned from the Code Pink rally in Washington, D.C. She was a retired teacher, and extremely well-spoken and dashing in her short, greying bob hairstyle. She made an impression on me that I will never forget. I vowed to learn more about Code Pink. And I vowed that I would be as dashingly well-spoken, pink and phabulously feisty when I was her age. So, in honor MLK Day and also in honor of that first Code Pinkstress that I met long ago, I introduce you to Code Pink. I hope you find Code Pink as contagiously pink & phabulous as I did. I also heard a gossipy truthful rumor at the Cascade Theatre last night that there will be a CODE PINK group forming in Redding. I don't know the details yet, but my informant told me that the story was going to be in the Wretched Searchlight soon. I didn't ask the informant if Christy Lochrie was writing the article. I pray not, 'cause I'll be damned if I'll let Christy Lochrie ruin CODE PINK and claim it for herself! I hope it's not too late to say "you read it on No Phat (and Pink) Chicks" first. Amen to that, my fellow pink sista's!
