Hydroponic Tomatoes: For the Home Gardener

ridiculous review After reading a rather scathing review posted on Amazon.com entitled "Get an editor" I chose not to order this book. Later, I happened across the book at Borders, thumbed through and purchased it. The book is is excellent! I believe the review misleads readers. I will address the two specific criticisms: Bad chemistry? Resh very carefully explains the concept of PH ( the reviewer missed this)-reference to a PH of 4.0 as very acidic was relative to the PH needs of tomatoes... Read Full Story

How-To Hydroponics, Fourth Edition

A good beginning book I purchased the pdf copy of this book some time ago and found it useful as a good primer for hydroponics. It will give you a basic introduction to the types of growing systems, nutrients, lighting, and all the ins and outs of growing your own plants with hydroponics. If you are a hobbyist just getting started and are interested in getting a small system I would highly recommend this book. However, if you need in depth knowledge about any process involved with... Hydroponic gardening and supplies – where to start

From:  home.buknuk.com
Thinking of hydroponics as of something too difficult some people are reluctant to try it. As a matter of fact, it is not always true. With hydroponics everything actually depends on the gardener. He is the master, who can make the process either as simple or as complicated as he wants. A beginner can succeed in it, or an experienced gardener can be faced with serious difficulties. The clue is in the system, either built or bought by the gardener. Anyway, there is no the least reason to... Read Full Story

Hydroponic Home Food Gardens

The Best Book for Getting Started I have checked out every available book from the library on hydroponics and this is the one that impressed me enough to add to my personal library. And because I am so impressed with Dr. Resh's information I'm also buying his book, Hydroponic Tomatoes for the Home Gardener. Complicated Description This was a bit complicated. It makes Hydroponics sound very difficult and in actuallity it isn't. Would be nice to get a book that tells us inside gardeners simple... Read Full Story

Hydroponic Basics

Basics This book is very condensed. It is a small book with short concise paragraphs but is very informative. While the information it contains is very broad, it doesn't go into much depth. It even has some basic information on plant anatomy and some functions. The pictures and diagrams are very good and relate to the paragraphs with corresponding numbers which are easy to follow, just don't confuse the numbers for steps in a procedure. Overall I believe this is a great book for someone who... Read Full Story

Are Hydroponically Grown Vegetables Superior To Typically Grown Ones?

From:  mmjspots.com
I was looking through a friend’s issue of “High Times”. Amidst the wealth of juvenile bullshit in the magazine, I saw they were advertising hydroponic growing chambers. Obviously these are intended for marijuana cultivation, but the skanky girls in the ads were holding tomatoes! Nothing tastes better than an organically grown, untouched tomato. Can you actually grow tomatoes and other vegetables in those things? Are they good? Is it difficult? Read Full Story
