We homeschool so I am constantly teaching my children things but we also have a 2 hour rule.  The children are only allowed to use electronics between 4 and 6 during the week.  The time changes on weekends but it is still only 2 hours a day.  This has taught them to use their imagination much more and one of their favorite things to do is play with their legos.  I think they had 10 different sets on their christmas list this year.
