She then gave a press interview where she heavily criticized head coach Greg Ryan and replacement goal keeper Brianna Scurry. The video has sparked a debate about sportsmanship and team spirit.

It was a painful loss to Brazil . 4-0, that's a beat down. The US Women's Soccer Team had a very very bad day, and it was made worse by the fact that Hope Solo was caught on video yelling about head coach Greg Ryan who pulled her out of the game and replaced her with Brianna Scurry. Poor spirit. I'm sure that every woman on the team felt down and perhaps a bit angry about the game, but that is no excuse for Hope Solo to bash her coach and another teammate.
