Hope should have picked a better time and place to air her accurate comments. That was her mistake but Ryan's decision to start Briana was, at best, idiotic and, at the very least, stupid! I am very disappointed with Lily and Wambach's dual decision to kick Hope off the team. It would have been enough of a punishment to compel her to sit on the bench during the third place game. It was over-kill and Lily and Wambach should have stood up for her. Even if Ryan was going to replace Hope with Kasey Keller, it still would have a stupid decision. You need to consider how much time and $$ was spent on this team and how miserably they played. Were they properly prepared? Over prepared? Perhaps, Coach Ryan owes the American soccer public an apology.
