An article published in the November 2009 issue of The American Journal of Medicine, reports that researchers conducting a meta-analysis of the available data using Bayesian methods concluded that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) almost undoubtedly decreases mortality in younger postmenopausal women. HRT or Hormone Replacement is a great treatment option for averting osteoporotic fractures during the course of its use, though its benefits plummet subsequent to its stoppage. The usage of HRT as a curative agent for this purpose alone is not counseled for majority of women.
