REVIEW: Amphibious 3D (2010) + trailer

By Robozag on  From bzfilm.com
Brian Yuzna is an established an well-known name in a horror movie world. Yet to me, he would always be memorable for “Society”, a film truly unique, and one of a kind. Righ now its 2012, and so far Yuzna has only directed only three movies in the past 9 years or so. Before shooting “Amphibious 3D” in 2010, Yuzna directed “Rottweiler” in 2004, and “Beneath Still Waters” in 2005 – two mediocre horror movies. “Amphibious 3D” is Yuzna’s latest directing effort, and frankly it does not stand...Read Full Story

REVIEW: A Darker Reality (2008)

By Robozag on  From bzfilm.com
“A Darker Reality” is a horror movie about a serial killer named Ghost (Daniel Baldwin), who captures young women, drags them into his dark place and tortures them the best he can, before they either die on their own, or await till he explodes and kills them himself. Ghost also sends “special messages” to a cop named Alex Belasco (James Burns), taunting him to take action. A police investigation is in the middle of nothing, as cops seem to have no idea how to capture the killer. Later on...Read Full Story

IDEA: “The Thing – sequel” – ideas for the third movie…

By Robozag on  From bzfilm.com
First we had a novel “Who Goes There”, published in 1938. Then we had a brilliant (and one of my personal favorites) – John Carpenter’s “The Thing” made in 1982, one of the best horror movies ever, with special effects that stand out even by today’s standards. In 2011, Hollywood decided it was time for a remake…or a prequel, doesn’t matter. They made another “Thing” which technically is a prequel to the 1982 film, but really looks like a remake to me (you can read the review on it here...Read Full Story

REVIEW: The Thing (2011)

By Robozag on  From bzfilm.com
I am not really supposed to write a review on this “THING”, but just out of huge respect that I have for the original John Carpenter movie, I am writing it. So, here we go… The story now is a prequel to the original film, and in the center of it we have young science student Kate Lloyd (the wonderful Mary Elizabeth Winstead) going to a remote Antarctica research site to help “dig deeper” in a discovery that was made by the Norwegian researchers there. Turns out, the Norwegians found an...Read Full Story
The zombies that we know and presumably love/fear may have infiltrated popular culture through books like H.P. Lovecraft's 'Herbert West: Re-Animator,' films such as George Romero's 'Night of the Living Dead' and TV shows like AMC's The Walking Dead (which returns Sunday, February 12th).But their existence isn't just limited to the page or the screen. Turns out, they walk among us. They have always walked among us. In fact, they are one of us...
