As a child and teenager I became interested in horror films from the first time I saw Gunnar Hansen swing a chainsaw, threatingly at Dennis Hopper in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2." Unknown to me at the time there was and additional world full of zombies, pin-headed antagonists, and demon possessed girls who were each anxious to scar my perceptions of reality. Now, I will soon get the chance to replay the trauma of my youth in 2010 when Wes Laurie puts the final ink on his dark screenplay for "Breath of Hate." Envisioning a world gone awry with cultists, from a psych ward, ... Read Full Story

Looks like the crew over at Velvet Hammer Films are close to a premiere for "Silent Night, Zombie Night," with the first teaser available for zombie horror film fans. Set during Christmas time the film, appropriately, will see a late 2009 release date. A week before Christmas a viral outbreak turns the citizens of Los Angeles into the feral ... Read Full Story

Director Charlie Brooker continues with the series "Dead Set," with this fifth and final episode. Beginning with a one hour introduction of characters and converging story lines the series "Dead Set," could really have been a five hour mini-series rather than the three hour television special that the film came to be. Tight in story structure and character development "Dead Series," is a biological, apocalyptic story that only intensifies in later episodes. ... Read Full Story

As the poster says, it's for killin' on the cheap Movie audiences have become more sophisticated. It’s pretty difficult to shock, or unclench the folded arms of even the most jaded viewer. Of course, shouting “fire” in a crowded theater, if you can still find one that is, usually does the trick. (Theaters have pretty much emptied out of late due to a profound dissatisfaction with what’s being offered and by the ability to download what’s being offered, despite how dissatisfied you might be, a few days after it’s been released). While past audiences were wowed when somebody punched out a horse in a ... Read Full Story

Well the Vampires have had their turn, and now it's time to howl! (Sorry...that was bad) Anyway, it looks like the latest creatures of the night to get their long over-due props are... WEREWOLVES! Yes the werewolf is coming back. Don't get me wrong, the vamps aren't going anywhere, you'll still have True Blood, The Vampire Diaries, Twilight etc. But even some of those seeming mainstays will get a little hairy. (Ouch...sorry again) Full article at: http://hubpages.com/hub/Werewolf-Sightings-On-The-Big-Screen Read Full Story
Nimrod Antal has been known as a brilliant music video and TV commercial director in Hungary and he quickly rose to prominence in the states in 2005 with his hit feature film debut Kontroll , which he followed in 2007 with the horror-thriller Vacancy .
