Two for Spain, one for Argentina

By SW19 on  From mytennisscrapbook.blogspot.com
The Spanish Armada arrived in Mar del Plata, Argentina as underdogs, but as of today they are leading the host country 2-1. Yesterday, David Nalbandian defeated David Ferrer in the first singles match, followed by an impressive performance by Feliciano Lopez, who beat Juan Martin del Potro. But I think the most exciting match so far was today's doubles between Lopez/Verdasco and Nalbandian/Calleri, won by the Spanish team. Wherever Rafa is, I'm sure he's jumping with joy, tendonitis and all...Read Full Story

David Nalbandian devastated by Davis Cup loss

By hcfoo on  From hcfoo.com
Guess what David Nalbandian's doing? No, he's not picking his nose. Instead he's picking up the pieces after a terrible loss at home in the Davis Cup final last weekend. A sullen-looking Nalbandian said he was devastated by the loss. “Understand the pain of a player not being able to score a point in an important series,” Nalbandian said. “Understand the anguish and unease right now. “Things went badly, but the terrible weekend is over,” he said. Nalbandian gave Argentina its only point in...Read Full Story

RBS Six Nations preview: Scotland vs Wales; Murrayfield, Sunday 15:00

By leeroycal on  From bloodandmud.com
Another tournament rolls around, and another episode in the long running series entitled "Scotland Are Looking Better This Year" is aired as usual.  Like every other installment in this series, I expect this one to end with the rugby equivalent of the denouement of Se7en ; except it will be Scotland's hopes in Brad Pitt's box, rather than Gwyneth Paltrow's head.  Plenty of opinion is focusing on the errant view that Wales do not like this fixture and that their record is poor at Murrayfield...Read Full Story

A Spellbinding Show

By abwise12 on  From wisetake.blogspot.com
Wizards of Waverly Place rules the Disney Channel and consumes the attention of ten-year-olds all over the country, but its mindless humor and silly plots make it irresistible- even for a 20-year-old. The show comes across as a lighter, TV version of Harry Potter. A family battles every day problems with an interesting spin- their magical powers. The catch? Only one of the three Waverly children get to keep their powers as adults. The well-formed characters include the oldest: know-it-all...Read Full Story

Tracy Lee Stum - 3D 'Anamorphic and Interactive' Street Painting

By AussiePB on  From aussiepete.com
* About Tracy Lee Stum * Tracy Lee Stum - 3D Street Painting _______________________________________ Some years ago, I was lucky enough to be involved in the sponsorship of one of the world's largest street painting festivals (in an attempt to keep my professional career separate from my blogging life, I won't give any more details than that). As is the case with many inspiring artistic showcases, this event truly left me speechless and I instantly became a lifelong fan of this ever-growing...Read Full Story

Couple Have A 'Whale' Of A Time On Romantic Cruise

By AussiePB on  From aussiepete.com
Images courtesy of www.capetownsailing.co.za This is definitely one of those 'perfectly timed' photographs . A tourist from Botswana was happily taking holiday snaps off the coast of South Africa, when they saw a couple out on a romantic boating trip. The tourist then captured a huge 'Kodak moment' when a 40-tonne southern right whale breached and slammed onto the deck of the yacht (the 'Intrepid'). A little trivia for the environmentalists - the Southern Right Whale is an endangered species...Read Full Story

Flight Attendant Loses It - Got A Better Quitting Story?

By AussiePB on  From aussiepete.com
We've all thought about it at one time or another - what would be the best and most dramatic way to quit your job? Would it be to humiliate your boss in front of co-workers? Would it be to walk in to the office one day and proudly announce that you were the winner of a 10 million dollar lottery? Have you got any great 'quitting' stories, I'd absolutely love to hear them! Well, what about actually just getting so stressed out that you completely 'lose it', make a public spectacle of yourself...Read Full Story

Real Life Hannibal Lecter - Human Lung And Onion BBQ

By AussiePB on  From aussiepete.com
Why even bother wasting taxpayers' money on keeping this guy in prison? Is capital punishment sometimes the right solution perhaps? 38-year old crazy Frenchman, Nicolas Cocaign has admitted to killing his cellmate, ripping out his victim's lung and eating part of it raw before frying up the rest with onions on a portable camping stove. Subsequent to popular belief, this year's World Cup team is not the worst thing to come out of France!! The press are dubbing Cocaign as "Hannibal Lecter...Read Full Story
