The FDA reported problems with fresh bagged spinach this week. Sounds like a California company's fresh spinach is linked to the outbreak, which has killed 1 person and sickened over 100 others. The specific source of the bacteria has not yet been identified.

San Juan Bautista spinach processing plant

Two bags of Dole brand baby spinach have been identified in the search for the E. coli strain that contaminated spinach and forced stores nationwide to pull spinach from the shelves.   Health officials suspect that a specific batch of spinach from a San Juan Bautista spinach processing plant may be the source of the contamination.
