Miss Abedin joined Clinton's support staff in 1996 and was a personal aide to Hillary Clinton until the senate race. Abedin became chief aide during the Senate race. She is now traveling with Clinton during the presidential run.
Rumor has it that Clinton and Abedin may have more than just a professional relationship. This rumor is only alleged, and has not been discussed by the candidate or the major news outlets.

If Hillary becomes Sec'y of State, what happens to Huma?Here's a coincidence for ya: as I was watching The Rolling Stones "Shine A Light" DVD, just as the part where Bill, Hillary and Huma appear onscreen, I glanced at the morning paper and saw the headline "Insiders: A Clinton 'yes'" --- but deeper in the Times Union, an article by Irene Jay Liu looks at the list of contenders for Hillary's seat in the U-S Senate. My choice would have to be EITHER Andrew Cuomo OR Nydia Velazquez.
