A little over a year ago, the City of Ottawa opened its first ‘senior’s park’, a park without the normal playground structures and one to meet the needs of an older population. Situated on a small incline, the park has a winding path circling a small pond and waterfall. The pond also acts to handle some storm-water overflow. There are several benches and many new trees. Even though there is no water at the top of this sloping pool ramp, someone decided that in addition to informing people the obvious about the water level at this entry, a warning about ‘no-diving’ was also necessary.
