Identity Theft Resource Center Releases 2008 “Reported” Data Breach Numbers

The Identity Theft Resource Center’s 2008 Data Breach Report was released yesterday. Not great news, it reflects a dramatic increase in data breaches -up over of 47% from last year.
Reported data breaches for 2007 tallied 446.
The 2008 report reflects 656 “reported” data breaches.
