ISLAMABAD: An investigation committee has been set up after Chief Justice of Pakistan’s (CJP) motorcade meet an accident near Islamabad motorway, while two traffic policemen have been arrested besides suspension of an In-charge Inspector and issuance of show-cause notice to the concerned Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). Supreme Court dismissed the petition filed for stay order against allotment of plots to civil bureaucrats promoted to grade 22. The affected bureaucrats have filed a petition against out of merit promotions in grade 21 and 22 of civil bureaucracy in SC. The case was heard by three-member bench headed by CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
