Job Title: Solution Architect.

Primary Skills: Windows Sharepoint Services and Sharepoint Portal 2003/2007

Responsibilities:

Perform lead role on SharePoint projects to analyze client requirements and goals before designing an effective logical application architecture, information architecture, and governance structure to meet their needs, optimize usability and findability, and allow for managed growth.
Consult directly with CXO/VP/Director level client executives and key business stakeholders to elicit requirements and design highly usable and manageable portal solutions.
Engage directly with client technology specialists to investigate and troubleshoot SharePoint related issues, bringing in appropriate expertise as appropriate to resolve issues
Work with infrastructure specialists to analyze and design solutions to meet client capacity needs, backup / recovery strategies, integration requirements, and network optimization to accommodate SharePoint and recommending infrastructure configuration and hardware topology.
Perform artifact-based customizations (master pages, style sheets, images, LOB application integration, SharePoint Designer workflows) as appropriate and supervise team of developers to develop, test, and deploy assembly-based customizations (site definitions, web parts, Visual Studio workflows, web controls, event receivers, list templates).
Conduct formal client training and knowledge transfer sessions both in-person and via web conference.
Participate in pre-sales activities, performing demonstrations, assisting with proposal development, evangelizing SharePoint both internally and externally.
Required skills:

Solid, demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise solutions based on Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server.
Proven information architecture skills specifically related to SharePoint 2007 related data and capabilities along with a thorough understanding of the interrelationships among content types, shared columns, search, navigation, information management policies, governance, etc.
Experience leveraging MOSS Enterprise features, including forms services, Excel services, business data catalog, business intelligence, and business data search preferred
Experience with Windows Server administration, XML, XSLT, XPath, HTML, CSS and JavaScript desired.
Excellent troubleshooting skills with regard to technical application and platform issues
Demonstrated project leadership and project management skills required.
Excellent client interfacing, presentation, and writing skills required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related discipline preferred.
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in Configuring and Administering Microsoft Office SharePoint Server a plus.
