MGS thinks this place on Cleveland St is da bomb for a cheap Indian feed.
MGS stopped by Maya Sweets for a snack after visiting Indian spice shops 'round the corner on Crown. These places are a treat - all brimming with cheap seeds and spices and blaring Bollywood beats out onto the street.
Check out the Rawa Masala Dosa below. This was a massive beast of a dosa, stuffed with potato, onion and spice and served with coconut chutney and sambar. It was massive but delicious and so cheap at $8.90
Then there was a huge range of Indian sweets. These are pretty heavy on the sugar and so so rich.... MGS thinks not for everyday eating unless you want to stack on the kilos. But for a treat, MGS picks the Almond Barfi. It's made from reduced milk, almond, sugar & green cardamom. It's rich but it tastes pretty TOP. MGS.
