In an unexpected moment of parody, Saturday Night Live took a shot at the Psychopathic Records annual Gathering of the Juggalos on last night's show. This takes some balls. Joseph Gordon-Levitt did his first gig hosting Saturday Night Live this past weekend. He took the stage looking like a guy who could barely contain his excitement, and proceeded to launch into a recreation of one of the most famous song and dance numbers from any film musical: Donald O'Connor's 'Make 'em Laugh' from Singin' in the Rain. And he nailed it!
OK, so 'Make 'em Laugh' is pretty much ripped off wholesale from...

"Saturday Night Live" combined Sarah Palin and the disaster movie "2012" last night to imagine a world in which Palin had won the presidency. They used footage from the '08 race and Palin's recently publicity blitz along with the trailer for the John Cusack post-apocalyptic action film to create a harrowing end-times scenario in which Glenn Beck is one step away from the presidency.

"Saturday Night Live" opened last night with a sketch lampooning Fox News's election coverage. On Saturday Night Live over the weekend, Lady Gaga and Madonna went at it in a cat fight for the ages. But it was a sketch about President Obama that got some of his supporters on the left of the political spectrum fired up.
SNL Obama skits are typically mixed bags, since:

Something shocking here. I actually agree with the DUmmies that Saturday Night Live performer, Fred Armisen, did a lousy job of impersonating Barack Obama's voice. It's really not that tough. All you have to do is snap out a few words, pause, and then speak again. Yet Armisen did not even make the slightest attempt to do this. Why didn't the SNL director point this out? Who knows? However, despite that obvious flaw, the SNL skit last night was...

“Saturday Night Live” alum Jim Breuer is developing a multi-camera sitcom for NBC based loosely on his own life as a stay-at-home dad who is raising three daughters while he cares for his elderly parents, Variety reports. The storyline was the basis of Breuer’s one-hour Comedy Central special in July and a documentary, “More Than This,” which screened at the Montreal Comedy Festival. Post-Saturday Night Live, some people go on and have a wildly successful career (Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler) . . . but plenty more just kind of seem to fade away. Sometimes the fade is inexplicable because the star was so popular while on the show (Chris Kattan, Cheri Oteri). I've always wondered what happens in that post show world, and a new show is about to divulge exactly that: Jim Breuer has just scored a deal with NBC for a sitcom that...

[Trigger warning.]Above is the opening segment from this weekend's Saturday Night Live. I'm not going to do a transcript, because the content can be easily summarized as: A sketch set at a joint press conference with the not-black Fred Armisen (still) playing President Barack Obama in blackface, and the not-Asian Will Forte playing Chinese President Hu Jintao not in yellowface but speaking ching-chong Chinese with the Iranian Nasim Pedrad...

NBC's "Saturday Night Live" really went after President Obama in its opening sketch Saturday evening. Not only that, his policies involving economic stimulus, healthcare reform, and Cash for Clunkers were also exposed as having absolutely no positive or future impact on unemployment. The setup was Obama, played by Fred Armisen, doing a press conference with Chinese President Hu Jintao, played by Bill Hader. As Jintao, through interpreter...

To be perfectly honest, last night's episode of Saturday Night Live wasn't that great. However, there were a few highlights, and most of them came from the cast's ability to pull off some pretty dead-on celebrity impressions.
