Great Toddler Halloween Costume Ideas.

By Pagan G. Moore

The exciting holiday of Halloween is approaching and new parents are starting to think of toddler costume ideas. What costume to choose to make your child really have fun and enjoy Halloween?

For older children this is often not a problem since they will have an own opinion on what to put on, often their favorite movie character like Spiderman, Harry Potter, Batman, Super Woman or maybe Cinderella.

There are some important factors to consider before choosing a Halloween costume for your toddler. Safety and comfort for your child should be the top concern, therefore it's important to look at a dress that open around the face and easy to wear and take off.

Even if there's a wide selection of different costumes available to order over internet, the real trick is to select one that your child will just love and be most comfortable with. A common pick for young toddler's and infants is a safari animal costume like monkey, lion or giraffe. Another popular choice can be a cartoon character your child loves to watch or even something he/she loves to eat, like a banana, strawberry or maybe even grapes.

It is important for any parent to make their child's Halloween experience as memorable as ever. Looking for more costume ideas? If your child is fond of eating chocolates, you may dress him or her like M&M;'s. Or perhaps you may dress your child as a classic Halloween pumpkin or cute little bears. Only your imagination is the limit.

To add some more ideas for this year's Halloween, consider these girl costumes: clubhouse Minnie toddler, Batarina toddler or a cute sunflower child costume. For boys you could choose: Super Mario, Captain America or maybe something different like a future golfer costume.

A classic budget costume idea is also the home made Ghost dress which can easily be done at home. This will save you a lot of money; all you need is just a white sweat outfit and face paint. However, you should think about not making the costume frightening since small children like these can easily be scared if the costume looks horrifying.

Another great option for toddler costumes would be a Lady Bug or a Butterfly for your cute little girl. This costume can also be made at home or purchased ready made. You may choose a colorful design to make your child more excited about the Halloween.

It's not easy to select the perfect Halloween for your toddler. Whatever type of costume you are considering; do remember to select a costume that is comfortable for your child to wear, easy to move around in and safe. Masks should not interfere with your child's eyesight and costumes should not contain of any small parts that your child may put inside his or her mouth. Heavy hood materials may slip over your child's face which cause discomfort and make it hard to breathe for your little one.

Enough warnings! Picking and wearing Halloween costumes should be fun and memorable for both you and your child. Now choose the toddler Halloween costume with care, make it a costume that enables your child to enjoy and have fun again and again this Halloween.
