Screw Squidoo

Squidoo has been "locking down" lenses in recent weeks. I had one lens on MLM that was "locked" when I edited the tags. Now I have just had another lens locked - I requested that they review my lens and today received an e-mail saying my lense was reviewed by a real live person and that my lens would stay locked. But they did not give a reason why it was locked.

Well I have decided to move all my lens contents to HubPages, Qondio. If anyone would like to suggest other sites to post to please do so.

Also I have pasted my Locked Squidoo Lens content below for your review - would be interest to know what caused it to be locked down.

Thanks

David

Improving Fertility

Infertility: Normal Menstrual Cycle and Ovulation

Getting Pregnant & Having Healthy Children!

Every woman recognizes menstruation, but few women are aware of when they ovulate. Signs of ovulation aren't difficult to notice, once a woman is aware of what to look for.

Signs of Ovulation

1. Cervical Mucus: Changes in response to pituitary and ovarian hormones. Cervical mucus will increase and have the consistency of raw egg white, will stretch as much as an inch between fingers.

2. Increased Desire: Majority of women will have an increase in desire when they are most fertile.

3. Body Basal Temperature Changes: Will raise a few tenths of a degree and stay elevated after ovulation. This is caused by the increase in progesterone during and following ovulation.

4. Changes in Cervical Position: The cervix will be higher, become softer and more open. These changes happen to make it easier for the male's sperm to penetrate and travel up into the uterus.

5. Breast Tenderness: Some women experience breast tenderness prior to or just after ovulation this is a results of changes in hormones taking place.

Awareness of the fertile periods allows a woman to be more in touch with her body. This knowledge provides women with control and power over her body and health care.

Signs of Infertility

Irregular menstrual periods, lack of signs of ovulation may indicate fertility problems. Very light or extremely heavy and intense menstruation may also be an indicator of infertility. Evaluation by your health care provider can help in diagnosis of infertility.

Other Factors Contributing to Infertility

1. Impotence and ejaculatory problems with partner. Low sperm count and/or inhibited sperm mobility.

2. Overweight or Underweight: Either excessively thin or grossly overweight can cause infertility problems.

3. Three Successive Miscarriages: 10% to 20% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage. Infertility is usually considered after having three successive miscarriages.

4. Chronic Illness: You or your partner have diabetes, hyperthyroidism, taking antidepressants, thyroid medication, Tagament for ulcers and some blood pressure medications may contribute to infertility, Other conditions, such as Endometriosis are often associated with infertility.

5. STDs: Infection and inflammation can cause blockage of the fallopian tubes, resulting in infertility.

6. Alcohol, smoking and marijuana are not only best avoided if you are pregnant, but also while you are trying to get pregnant.

Holistic Approach to Infertility

While the standard medical approach to infertility has a good success rate, there are a significant number of couples who do not respond to the treatment, and others who suffer from the side effects of the medications given. Some wish to follow a more natural approach to treating infertility.

A holistic approach to infertility is to restore proper function of the reproductive system with a personalized program consisting of one or more of the following:

Phytosterols
Herbal Remedies
Homeopathy
Nutritional Supplements
Glyconutrients
Chiropractic
Cranial Therapy
Acupuncture
Visceral Manipulation
