She is ranked as the fourth greatest female star of all time by the American Film Institute.
Sam Wanamaker and Ingrid Bergman in the 1946-47 production of Joan of Lorraine for which Bergman won a Tony. In 1948 it was made into a film, Joan of Arc, directed by Victor Fleming, with the play-within-a-play motif entirely removed.
