World Events and Internet Opportunities

For everyone that is affected by events of political, economic, social, community, family or natural events and circumstances, the internet can offer a whole new perspective and universe of opportunities and relief.

Now, before I bore you to tears, or become impatient, please consider the masthead title of this blog site, ‘Easy Internet Business Startups’. That title says it all. Everything I write about here has at least one and most likely many threads of thought connected to an internet business.

So, getting back to the opening with world events affecting us all.

The internet is connecting you and me with hundreds of millions of people around the world to the events of our day. Every culture is now touched by this marvel of technology and human ingenuity that brings us so much closer to each other.

In the span of human history, this is currently the new frontier, the ‘wild wild west’, if you will, of future communication, commerce and community. It is not now, or ever will be, the only place to conduct our business or interact with our lives, but certainly a major area.

Consider how the immense expenditure of time, money, and resources over the last several decades to build the infrastructure, both hardwired and wireless, have now put sci-fi futuristic products and systems at the disposal of practically every person on earth. Amazing!

World events are constantly changing and affecting us in little and not so little ways. A social disturbance or war in a far off land, a catastrophic weather event at home, a drop in the stock market performance, a confrontation of real estate markets with homeowners, a fluctuation in currency and precious metals, a statement or mis-statement by political or business leaders that move markets or societies.

These are a few of the things that are instantly shared, discussed, and reacted to globally, by way of the internet.

In these tumultous times in which we live, we all crave and seek for a ‘piece of peace’. The calm in the midst of the storm. As this site and article are centered around current affairs/circumstances and online businesses, I will not mention the unseen realities that we may be affected by, such as beliefs or faith, although there is a place for these as well.

I don’t mean to get anyone upset here by these examples, just to setup the realities that we all are faced with.

So, how do internet opportunities play in here?

The internet can be or at least help to provide for some of that ‘piece of peace’ of which we seek.

We now can, with less investment than a traditional brick-and-mortar or home-based business, extend our dreams, passions, hope and talents to a greater audience. An audience further away than our neighbors, local mall, flea market or garage sale.

We can take our hobby or talent and exponentially increase our profits with less effort than opening a store or setting up a booth at a Saturday flea market, or consignment shop. Ebay has certainly helped here.

One of the beauties of the internet is we don’t have to worry, for the most part, about storms, floods, social unrest, or other disturbances for our internet business website to remain active, engaged and profitable. It runs off site and automatically, all day and night, available and appealing to customers from around the world.

The internet, among other things, is a forum for the display and promotion of anything we can imagine or desire to engage in that will benefit others.

It truly is the door into greater and more opportunities through which everyone should take advantage of.

A simple and easy entry into internet business startup opportunities can be setup in a matter of hours or days, not weeks or years. Don’t get me wrong, there may be a learning curve for those new to the technology and products or if trying to find the right market niche best suited to your needs and talents, but by and large, you will not find a simpler, easier or faster method of starting a business to larger audiences than on the internet.

An outline to consider the possibilities is:

1-Search (’google‘, ‘yahoo‘, ‘msn‘, etc.) online for popular and current trends of products and services others are interested in and satisfy those needs.

2-Consider your hobbies and talents in an area of interest that others (your market) want and will benefit from.

3-Create your own product or find a ready-made product produced by others that will meet your markets needs. There are also many affiliate programs available.

You can get many ideas through searches and finding the statistics pages of keywords and search engines. There are programs and products that can help as well, such as ‘www.FortuneWeb500.com’.

Once a product or line of products has been chosen (you can change or add to this list anytime), you will need to find the services to put your product(s) online, these include:

4-A name for your business or product that can be your domain/website name. It is preferable to have the product and website name the same or with similar content, such as www.abcFASTwidgets.com for your ‘Fast Widgets’ product and ‘ABC Company’ business. You may have to get creative and flexible here if others have selected the same name.

5-A website or blog to display and promote your product from. There are services of all stripes and prices here. Some recommendations are ‘www.WordPress.com’ for blogs and ‘www.OnlineWebNow.com’ for domain names, website hosting and design using easy to use templates as well as other services, some of which are free or included.

6-A website/blog hosting account. They are simple to setup with step-by-step instructions.

7-A ‘FTP’ (file transfer protocol) program to upload your product files to the website/blog. Your website host should have this as ‘www.OnlineWebNow.com’ does for free.

8-You will need a payment processor for your product sales to accept payments. Recommendations include ‘www.PayPal.com’ , ‘www.PayDotCom.com’ , as well as ‘www.OnlineWebNow.com’ Shopping Cart for multiple products.

9-When you have the website/blog setup, you now want traffic going to that site. Several programs can help here, such as ‘www.TrafficTacticsOnTheWeb.com’. You also need search engine friendly, targeted and effective keywords that match and compliment your product content to attract traffic. As previously mentioned above in item #3 you can get keywords to help generate these from a program or search engine.

Keep in mind that in promoting and getting traffic, your keywords are key, but also adding fresh content regularly (daily, weekly) to your blog and listing your site on multiple search engines will help as well with your internet marketing campaign.

Of course, this outline is not all inclusive (but a good place to begin) and will need to be filled in with some effort, exposure, and experience by you. But, this process is very manageable if you have several hours each week. More time, as with anything, will bring more experience and success.
