Leveraging on Google Trends

Google trends tells you exactly what people are searching for, it’s the what’s hot list of google and it’s being updated everyday.

OK. Now that you’re back, you probably noticed that there are a lot of names out there, health related keywords, business related keywords, entertainment, religion, etc… All kinds of stuff!

Now, what does have to do with your business? A lot…If people are searching for these terms, then there is a website out there that’s getting tons and tons of traffic. Don’t you want a piece of that pie?

Here’s what I do in order to take advantage of the current trends.

Recently, it has been announced that the U.S. is in recession. That created a lot of buzz and people started searching for information about recession. If you research “recession” on wordtracker, you’ll find out that thousands of people are searching it.

Then I created a lens and called Benefits of Economic Recession - Go ahead and check it out first then come back here. I just published it yesterday and it’s already given me 3 additional people on my list, ain’t that sweet? Now imagine if I created 10 lenses about recession?

But don’t forget that you still have to do your keyword research and try to find highly searched keywords with less competition. Just like the one that I used above.

The information on google trends changes everyday, but if you do a little digging, you’ll find out that some of them are constantly hot. If they’re not related in any way about your business, find a way to just briefly mention what you’re doing on your article or on your lens. And remember, you have the author bio for your promotion.
