When you talk about website traffic and how to increase website traffic and things like that, I can say you are at the doorstep of Internet Marketing, which is becoming more and more competitive among the people who sell it and even the people who use it.

No matter who you are, buying or selling Internet Marketing Service, we all want it to become better, and better. Because we want the same (or almost the same) thing: website traffic.

So you want to attract traffic, it is obvious you have to be attractive at least. Being a member of traffic to a lot of websites and being a person who wants to attract traffic, I have some ideas of how to make things easier.

Trustworthiness

After all, you can't make somebody to buy things from you, or more exactly, to become your profitable customer, unless you can make him or her trust you first. How to make them trust you? Just simply speak the truth.

I've tested some types of web content with different testing purposes with different means. Here I'll talk about the content tests first. I did one with promotional types with intentional hype, and one with less hype, more truth, even some less attractive truth.

I observed and analyzed the traffic of those two types. What are the results you think? The one with more hype got more traffic than the other. But, the one with more hype finally got fewer conversions than the other. Some facts will make you think and rethink. Anyway, it is the common sense, right?

Professionalism

If you want to compete with others, you should be equal to them first! You will want to have whatever good things they have. Professional designs with moderate combination of images and text, with site map, site search function, etc; professional content with succinct title, descriptions, articles, text links, etc.

When you have every good things, think of better things and make changes. The better thing that most people don't have or don't think it important is interaction between traffic and the website. If you can facilitate this feature, you'll be worth more targeted traffic .

Interactivity

Website interactivity is more and more appreciated and invested in. If you don't join now, you might risk being left behind. While the trustworthiness and the professionalism are the indirect way of communication from you to visitors, the interactivity of your website does the opposite.

This is the playground of your creativeness. Imagine and think more to try to understand and make people happily voluntarily talk to you about themselves. People have done many things to facilitate interactivity on their websites like: games, quizzes, competitions, opinion polls, surveys, guest books, news letter, blogs, etc.

However, the point is that you should be different, you will not want to resemble any. Just have a look at how people are building interactivity on their websites, then work out the ways you can do things better.

Those are my ideas in general view points. You must have your own passion and knowledge to improve things. So do I. Once again, our ultimate goal is website traffic. So let's serve it.
