You have seen it before, gangs of people on a theological website or forum tag-teaming against 1 or 2 people.  The theological thugs typically either are advocating some heresy (like hyperpreterism i ) or they found some valid pet-doctrine that they have latched on to & think it is their mission to brow-beat everyone else with it (like Calvinism i ). How it typically happens is that one lone thug is interacting with a person & the person is giving such powerful arguments that the lone thug can't handle it.  The lone thug gets his or her buddies to join in & the thuggery ... It is no big secret that Providence College has a curriculum heavily weighted down by theology courses. After all, it is a Catholic college. After four semesters of the Development of Western Civilization course and the additional two theology cores in which each PC student is supposed to participate, we should all be theological experts by the time we graduate.
