The United States has complained to Israel over rules that keep Palestinian-Americans from entering Israel, officials said Thursday. A travel update posted by the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem says that for some time, Israel has not permitted Palestinians who also hold American passports to enter through Israel's Ben-Gurion international airport, requiring that they use the Allenby Bridge land crossing from Jordan directly into the West Bank. Since spring this year, travelers using the Israeli... Read Full Story

RAMALLAH, West Bank (Reuters) - Fourteen-year-old Jum'a Ismail lives 50 km (30 miles) from the Mediterranean but had never seen the sea. The Palestinian youth had never set eyes on an Israeli civilian or an airport. Juma'a's horizons expanded this summer, when he left Jalazoun refugee camp in the occupied West Bank with "Birthright Replugged" on a trip taking Palestinian refugee children to Israel to visit the villages of their ancestors. Arabs Have Admitted There is No Palestine

I'm going to back up my friend Chaim over at Freedom's Cost , who's taking some flack for posting about a truth-telling video the jihadists are trying to get pulled off of YouTube... about Palestine. In my book -- Truth is TRUTH. I always tell the truth and always have facts to back me up. I have never accused anyone of anything without backup. Ever. And I am getting damn sick, too - of people telling me how "horrible" Israel is. I know what it's like to be accused of being abusive - usually... Read Full Story

From:  reuters.com
BEN-GURION AIRPORT, Israel (Reuters) - Israel is ready to open peace talks with Syria immediately and without preconditions, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday after talks with U.S. President Barack Obama. The offer followed Obama's first White House meeting with the Israeli leader, who said he agreed on the need to widen the peace process across the Arab world but stopped short of embracing the declared U.S. goal of Israel accepting there should be a Palestinian state in... Official: Israeli PM likely to back two-state plan

From:  ap.org
Israel's defense minister said Saturday he believes Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will endorse the creation of a Palestinian state during his upcoming meeting with President Barack Obama in Washington. It would be a significant shift for the Israeli leader, who has made clear in the past that he does not think the Palestinians are ready to rule themselves. But that position has put him at odds with long-standing U.S. policy that supports Palestinian statehood as the cornerstone of... Read Full Story

Netanyahu Won't Back Palestinian State On US Trip: MP

For a sneak preview of PM of Israel Netanyahu's proposal when he meets with Obama this coming week in Washington, it is now being reported that Benjamin Netanyahu won't back a Palestinian State on his US trip, which won't sit well with Obama, who is pushing for a two-state solution. This is sure to create increased tensions between Israel and the United States, but I for one am thrilled that Mr. Netanyahu, who unlike Obama, has a solid grip on Israel and Iran as it pertains to the Middle... Israel to keep expanding settlements: Netanyahu

From:  afp.com
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday said Israel will continue to expand settlements in the occupied West Bank despite calls by main ally the United States to stop.
