CAPTION HERE J.P. Losman may have been a downright mediocre QB in the NFL, but thanks to signing up with the fledgling UFL, he'll most likely be the standout player. Losman will play for the Las Vegas franchise of the still-nascent new football league. From an article at Yahoo! Sports: It's just J.P. Losman -- he of the 62.3 quarterback rating last year, a statistic in which he's actually managed to get worse over the past three years -- but I'm choosing to see this as a significant moment... A few years ago, my old roomate, who is a huge Buffalo Bills fan, got wrapped up in the JP Losman mania. I’m not quite sure when that was - looking back at the stats, but it probably was the beginning of the 2005 season. JP Losman was the new exciting Bills. He threw the ball deep down the field, whether Lee Evans was open or not. The Bills had not had a quarterback to hang their hat on since Jim Kelly, and they were hoping (and looking back probably deluding themselves) that JP... Read Full Story

The Bills won their first game of the season Sunday, with rookie quarterback Trent Edwards making the first start of his career.
That in and of itself isn’t enough to create a quarterback controversy. But throw in the fact that J.P. Losman has never lived up to the promise the Bills thought he had when they chose him in the first round of the 2004 NFL draft, and the fact that Edwards looked poised and efficient, and you’d have to say there’s a real question... Ready or not — and let’s be frank, most people have been ready since the 2007 draft — it’s T rent Edwards time in Buffalo. Former first-round pick J.P. Losman is out for at least two games with a bum knee ( 12 grand should makes things all better ) and Edwards will get his first professional start this Sunday against the Jets.
He had mixed results against the Patriots last week — he calmly led the Bills down the field on his first drive, but was inconsistent... Read Full Story

Simply put, J.P. Losman is insane. He’s been wildly inconsistent during his four-year career, and Sunday’s game against the Steelers wasn’t surprising to fans who’ve had to endure Sunday’s with Losman the past few seasons.
Good news, though: it’s not J.P.’s fault … to hear J.P. tell it, anyway :
Losman reached into the goody grab bag of excuses and pulled out penalties. pass protection and great defenses. Oh, and coaching. By “those plays,” he was... Read Full Story
WOW! Have you caught your breath yet after last night’s thrilling United Football League debut? Oh wait, you don’t have the ‘Versus’ network? Yeah, me neither. I didn’t even know this league was starting yesterday, and I try to keep up on things like, you know, new professional football leagues starting up and stuff. I actually thought the UFL was kinda still in its developmental stage, where they were threatening to start, getting investors, hiring Arena ball castoffs etc. But no, last... Read Full Story
Bills quarterback J.P. Losman wants out of Buffalo, as the team seems committed with going with second-year QB Trent Edwards now as the starting QB. It wasn’t long after the season ended that Losman started putting out vibes that he wanted to be traded, and was playing his hand to the media about wanting out of upstate New York. So what destinations will Losman find himself in when the 2008 season starts?
Well, the rumor mill was churning hard this past weekend at the scouting combine... Read Full Story

Coach Dick Jauron was at least tossing around the idea of playing Gibran Hamdan this week against the Denver Broncos if Trent Edwards isn’t available. The Bills were hoping J. P. Losman would spark their offense while Edwards nursed a groin injury, but he did little to help them or his future. “I wouldn’t say that I wouldn’t [play Hamdan],” Jauron said this week.
