PROCTOR, Minn., Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Police in Minnesota said a motorized La-Z-Boy lounge chair involved in a drunken driving incident has garnered bids of $40,000 on eBay. Proctor, Minn., police said bids for chair, which was seized from Dennis Anderson after he allegedly crashed while intoxicated, reached $43,300 Monday, the Minneapolis City Pages reported Monday. An autographed photo of Anderson, which was put on eBay by his family to help pay his legal fees, reached bids of a comparatively cheap $305 Monday. A La-z-boy chair which shot to fame when a man got caught drink driving on it, has now been put on eBay by police. The chair - converted with lawnmower engines to drive on the road - was used by Dennis Anderson to drive home in Minnesota, after drinking about eight beers. He was arrested by police and later pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated. Unsurprisingly, the odd news soon spread around the internet. Proctor, Minneapolis police have reported that the gasoline-powered La-Z-Boy recliner that was driven by a man in a drunk driving incident is currently up for sale on eBay and that the bidding will close on Tuesday. The recliner has a maximum speed of 20 mph, a steering wheel, headlights, roll bars, cup holders and a sound system.
