  • The driver, a 13-year-old boy, leaps from the car right as it goes off a cliff.
  • Reveal: the policeman has a hover bike

  • Kirk years later, a young man (Chris Pine) is riding a hover bike
  • Voice Over: “You never found yourself here, you never really fit in. What you choose to do with you’re life is up to you.
  • Young kirk stares at a huge futuristic structure, possibly Star Fleet headquarters or the factory where the Enterprise is being constructed

  • Quick cuts of spaceships and lots of other fun stuff

Wil Wheaton is something of a fanboy favorite for the people. He's a former child star, best known as the lead in the Rob Reiner adaptation of Stephen King's Stand by Me , and also as Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation . He's done tons of other stuff along with these two better-known titles, but the best thing about him is that he's grown into a regular everyday guy and fan of many things geek, which puts him high on our list of coolest celebrities in the universe. One thing that we didn't know about Mr. Wheaton -- and you probably ... Read Full Story

A few weeks ago we posted a story that JJ Abrams was developing a new spy project for TV that was purchased by NBC. At the time the project didn’t have a name but that has since changed, Undercovers , is the working title at this point and we are told its a mix between “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and “The Bourne Identity.” I am glad that has come out because when we read the initial description I kept saying Mr. And Mrs Smith. Perhaps the most interesting thing to come out now is that the pilot episode will be directed by Abrams . ... Read Full Story

WITH toy-based films such as Transformers and G.I. Joe bringing in a box office bonanza, it's pretty obvious we are going to see many more brands exploding on to the screen. In an article discussing the boom in feature films derived from games and action figures, The Wall Street Journal reveals that Star Trek director and Lost creator JJ Abrams is in talks with toymakers Hasbro to produce a Micronauts movie. Hasbro - which makes the Transformers and G.I. Joe action figures - has just acquired the rights to the Micronauts from Japanese originators Takara. The interconnectable toys were first released in 1974 under ... Read Full Story

What If I told you that Wil Wheaton appears in JJ Abrams' Star Trek? You'd probably say that you didn't believe me. Heck, we saw the movie, twice even, and didn't see or hear a not-so-young anymore Wesley Crusher at all, not even in the corner of the screen. Or at least we thought that was the case. It had remained a highly guarded secret until this week when Wheaton blogged about his experience providing his voice for the Trek reboot: "Back...

With their now expected levels of secrecy and sneakiness, it seems that JJ Abrams and Bad Robot are already deep into bringing a mysterious movie called 500 Rads to the screen.
