The outfielder's best season came in 2002, when he hit .300 with 27 homers and 85 RBIs while the Twins advanced to the AL championship series.

The Minnesota Twins announced that they have signed OF Jacque Jones to a minor league deal after OF Jason Pridie was claimed off waivers by the New York Mets.
Pridie was placed on waivers to make room for 2B Orlando Hudson, who the Twins signed last Friday.
Jones, who spent the first seven years of his career with the Twins, has also received an invitation to attend Spring Training.
