A few minor transactions to report this afternoon… Yahoo!’s Mark Spears reports that the Cavaliers will keep Jamario Moon in street clothes for the next one-to-two weeks with what is being called an abdominal strain. The team has reportedly labeled this decision as “precautionary” and that he would be playing if tomorrow’s game against the Wizards was of the playoff variety. One of the Cavaliers’ worst defensive performances this season came in Dallas when Moon was inactive. With his teammates suffering ailments ranging from the flu to a sore wrists, Jamario Moon decided to take matters into his own hands as the short-staffed wine and gold took on the Dallas Mavericks. Following a game in which Mike Brown and his former boss Greg Popavich decided to leave things in the hands of their respective assistants, the recently added Moon filled up the box score to the tune of 18 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and only one turnover. As you’ve by no doubt heard by now, the Cleveland Cavaliers have signed former Raptors and Heat forward Jamario Moon to an offer sheet. The offer sheet is for at least 2 years and is believed to be for around $2 million per year. The Cavaliers used their Mid-Level Exception to sign Moon to the offer sheet, and thus will still have the Bi-Annual Exception at their disposal should they choose to still use it. It is pretty much a consensus opinion that the Cavaliers are a better team when Delonte West is available to play. Whether it be defense, chemistry/timing, or the occasional need for points, West has the ability to positively effect the Cavaliers on both ends of the floor. Read Full Story
