Bond had lost its way a bit especially with the invisible car. The selection of Daniel Craig as Bond hadn't gone down well and everyone thought Casino Royale was a disaster waiting to happen and then this happened. The opening scene of Casino Royale is an absolute jaw dropping moment as Bond chases creator of Parkour, Sebastian Foucan, through a crowded African market and along a giant crane. Any doubts went straight out of the fucking window. Bond was back and he had balls the size of Great Britain. The names Bond, James Bond. Read Full Story

Came back from doing some bits this morning to find Live and Let Die on the TV. As is always traditional with James Bond, one must always ask - providing one had never asked before - who the best Bond is. A certain amount of leeway is allowed of course, but anybody who replies Roger Moore without a moments hesitation needs a good head examination. The correct answer is of course, as follows: Daniel Craig Sean Connery George Lazenby Pierce Brosnan Roger Moore Timothy Dalton There are no additional points awarded for trying to be clever and adding Peter Sellers, David Niven, Woody Allen ... Scientists can now give things bad memories by shooting them in the head with lasers. You might be thinking "Duh," but these aren't Bond villains blasting in the bad experience of "being shot in the head with a laser." Scientists in the University of Oxford genetically engineered Dropsophilia flies, adding an extra chemical switch to control their neurons. They then injected the required chemical in a restricted form, locked inside a cage made from a ... Read Full Story

Photos in this review by Karen Ballard Quick admission: I'm not much of a classic James Bond guy. Sure, some of Sean Connery's 007 films have tickled my fancy -- From Russia With Love and Goldfinger especially, along with moments from Thunderball and Dr. No -- but the entire rhythm of gadgets, girls, and gratuitous one-liners has never completely satisfied my palette. That is, until Martin Campbell rebooted the series with Casino Royale , crafting a James Bond that was free to make mistakes and act out with braying ferocity through his coy, martini-sipping demeanor. It's probably Daniel Craig's departure from the archetype that ... Read Full Story

There will be a concert of James Bond music at The Royal Albert Hall in London on Friday November 13. Honor Blackman will present the event. We caught this at Carnegie Hall last year and it's truly a wonderful evening of entertainment. (Click here for our review) Here is the official description:The theme song of a James Bond film is as much a part of the ‘Bond Experience’ as the cars, the girls, the chases, the guns and the gadgets.
