Democratic strategist James Carville (R) speaks as his wife and Republican strategist Mary Matalin (L) listens during a taping of "Meet the Press" at the NBC studios April 13, 2008 in Washington, DC. The guests discussed topics related to the presidential race of 2008. (Getty Images) more pics » With all the political bashing that goes on between married couple James Carville (a die-hard Democrat) and Mary Matalin (an equally passionate Republican), it's hard to remember that they actually like each other, let alone love each other.  Yesterday we were reminded that it's not all bad blood between these two during the State of ... Ok, Mr. Underhill, this is gonna get political. So, if you don't like that, turn around now, go bury your head in the sand and pretend the shadow of Mordor isn't creeping in on your Shire. So today I got an e-mail from James Carville...you know, the barking dog of the Clintonistas. I guess now that Karl Rove is outta town, this guy wants to flash his rosey-cheeked, Botox injected face all over the place. Anyway, he came knockin on my electronic door begging for a handout...in the middle of a recession...depression...whatever it is we are in. I love Democrats, here's his limp-noodle pitch: ... I think every sane thinking and logical person knows that Global Warming as the non-Climatologist put it, is nothing but a hoax at best. It is devastating and communistic at worst that will cause millions of people to lose jobs and possibly their lives. We know that Global Warming (once called Global Cooling back in the 1970's) is far from scientific. Check out the video below. Oh, and lets not forget the biggest culprit in the Global Warming debate that seems to be forgotten by the Global Warming alarmist. The biggest culprit is no human activity. The biggest culprit is not animal activity. The ... Read Full Story

Considering that this may be one of the most historic election years yet, the University of Miami has been hosting incredible events to get students interested in politics. Often times, these events are hosted by none other than some of the most important people involved in the campaigns. Earlier in the year, Barack Obama visited the Bank United Center to a large turn out. I personally had to wait in line for about 2 hours, and got to sit right behind the stage (ok, so not the best seat, but I was on tv!). His speech and those given before him were absolutely amazing. ... Read Full Story

ILLUSTRATION BY JOE CIARDIELLO FOR USN&WR Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, whatever.....our dachshunds love us no matter what our faults and our political affiliation may be. We know that Donald Rumsfeld's dachshund 'Reggie' thinks that the sun rises and sets in his dad's eyes. (We hope that Reggie is doing OK after his recent stroke. We heard that Mr. Rumsfeld was crushed when his doxie was ill). Political unrest couldn't be more evident than in the Matalin-Carville household where they have 5 dogs and 8 cats, including 2 dachshunds. US News & World Report had a look at the couple and their love of animals. Here's ... Read Full Story

CNN poked some fun at their regular political contributor James Carville by showing the skit Saturday Night Live did of him while he and his wife, GOP strategist Mary Matalin, were in the studio. SNL's Carville says he knows crazy because he looks in the mirror every morning thinks, "Yup, that's a good look. I mean, come on, I look like a skeletor!" It's difficult to envision a happy marriage between Carville and Matalin considering pretty...

From Carville's latest fundraising email for the DSCC: As President Obama recently said, conflict is like catnip. The right-wing media scurries over to it. They sniff at it. They bat it back and forth. They roll in it. They. Just. Can't. Get. Enough. They're masters of manipulation. And when we let our attention get diverted from the real issues, we're all in trouble. Take health care: The Republicans have plenty of complaints but no plan...
