ComingSoon.net's ShockTillYouDrop.com is on the Toronto set of Resident Evil: Afterlife where producer Jeremy Bolt told them this morning that Paul W.S. Anderson is still circling video game adaptation Castlevania at Rogue Pictures and that they are waiting on a script. This summer, James Wan was attached to direct the movie based on the Konami game, but his involvement is unknown now.

Castlevania is a movie I do not hold high expectations for. Besides the fact that it is a video game adaptation, it seems to be going through development issues with a continuous set of director changes.

It's a real shame that Castlevania has become such a troubled production. It's a cool enough video game to make the transition to the big screen, but it could be on its third director in about 18 months. At first, Sylvain White ( Stomp the Yard ) was attached to direct...and then the project kind of went away.
