Charlie Melancon may be a stone cold Dixiecrat, Dixiecrats in the south are notorious for pimping black and female voters , but he's trying to reinvent himself and his campaign may have found just the ticket to close the gap between himself and David Vitter. Charlie showed me a little something when he showed up at the New Orleans Town Hall despite initially planning on not attending, may be he's ready to get with the program. Today is Blog Against Sexual Violence Day and I found this gem. Get out your barf bags. At Halliburton/KBR, sexual assault is just part of the workplace experience for women by Lisa Takeuchi Cullen Like many viewers, I watched this ABC 20/20 report when it first aired in December with jaws-open, eyes-bugging horror. Senator Al Franken (D-MN)
Well, frumps, every once in a while, things workout right – the chambermaid wins the lottery, the tornado misses your house, the amendment passes without getting the stuffing kicked out of it. That last one was just reported today. You might remember that one of Al Franken’s first legislative moves as a freshman senator was to draft an amendment to the 2010 Defense Appropriations bill.
Oddly enough the amendment attached to the Defense spending bill... Read Full Story
The Daily Show , known in its current incarnation as The Daily Show with Jon Stewart , is an American late night satirical TV show that dialed in its probing tragicomedy microscope on Republican's sick and twisted love affair with the likes of a profiteering war industry. ( See the clip here ) It's a shame a fake news show picked this up...while most mainstream media would rather report on f***ing "Balloon Boy."
