Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson (born May 16, 1966) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, and actress. She is the youngest child of the Jackson family and second most successful, behind her deceased brother, Michael. Her career began as a child actress, appearing television shows like "Good Times" and "Diff'rent Strokes." Her breakthrough album with with producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, "Control" was a huge success. Her follow-up to that, "Rhythm Nation 1814" was also a big success. Her last album remains in the shadow of what is now called "Nipplegate" in which a so-called "wardrobe malfunction" cased her breast to be exposed to millions of people watching the half-time show at Superbowl XXXVIII.

Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri Are Still Together

Janet Jackson and her longtime producer boyfriend Jermaine Dupri are still a couple -- and no, they're not engaged, despite claims that have been circulating for ages. They were rumored to have split around the time Janet's brother Michael passed away this summer after Jermaine didn't attend the funeral.

But a source tells People, "They never really broke up. Jermaine wanted to give her some space when Michael died."

Now once again the blogosphere believes Janet and Jermaine are planning a secret wedding, but Dupri brushes off the gossip. They may have dated for seven years, but neither star seems to feel rushed. "They've been saying that for years and you don't see a ring on my finger," Jermaine says. "I guess it just sounds good to have that rumor this time of the year or something."
