Jay-Z (real name Shawn Corey Carter, born December 4, 1969) is an American rapper and current president and CEO of Def Jam and Roc-A-Fella Records. he co-owns The 40/40 Club, and is a part owner of the New Jersey Nets NBA team. Jigga and A-Keys are going to perform “Empire State of Mind” (minus Lil Mama’s interruption) this Wednesday game one of the World Series at Yankee Stadium.
“First of all, the new [Yankee] Stadium — it’s the Yankees and it’s game one of the World Series. I’m beyond excited about it, and on top of that, it’s a New York record. It’s a record that pays homage to New York.”
Good thing for Hov the Yankees pulled through the game against Los Angeles so the NY fans can see the performance.
