The Kidnapping of Jaycee Lee Dugard

On June 10th, 1991, eleven year old Jaycee Lee Dugard was walking to her school bus stop in South Lake Tahoe, California. She never made it there. Carl Probyn, Jaycee's step-father was in his garage and saw a car swerve over to Jaycee, open the door and pull her in. She screamed. Mr Probyn didn't have his car keys so he jumped on his mountain bike and gave chase. He couldn't catch up to them so he went back home and called 911. That was the last time anyone saw Jaycee for the next 18 years. We lived in South Lake Tahoe during that time and over the next several years we often heard about Jaycee Lee Dugard on the news. There would be many leads that didn't pan out. It was if she had vanished into thin air.
