One to Watch: Jemima Rooper

If Lost in Austen is to be remembered for one thing, it will probably be for highlighting the talents of the wonderful English actress Jemima Rooper.

Born in Hammersmith in London, in 1981, Jemima first caught my eye in the 2005 Sky One series Hex in which she played a ghost. A quick scan of her CV though shows she has been working as an actress since the age of twelve when she appeared in the film The Higher Mortals. Since then Jemima has carved out a pretty impressive acting career on both television and in films.

Jemima’s television roles include impressive appearances in Sinchronicity, The Time of Your Life, and currently in the ITV series Lost in Austen. Her film roles includes appearances in Kinky Boots, The Black Dahlia, and the soon to be released British horror/comedy Hotel Caledonia.
